My prayers have been answered!!!

I have waited NINE long years for this day! Sydney and Klair are both in alllllll day school!!! Goodbye kindergarten ( am I the only on who thinks kindergarten is lame?!) Although it's hard to believe that I have a 4th grader and a 1st grader, it is an amazing feeling to not have to pay after school daycare any more:) Yea me! Happy day!!!

Jealous much?

I got tickets to Rhianna for Mothers Day! A step up from last years washer!!! I'm so stinkin excited:) Mothers Day was.....good. My girls made me breakfast in bed. Klair tricked me by bringing me a piece if pizza first. She thought that was pretty funny. I enjoyed my eggs and toast ALONE in bed watching the news. Then we were off. Church, lunch, dinner, home....geez! My family was asleep at 730. Even Danny. So I watched T.V. ALONE for 3 hours. It was awesome!

Thanks Danny and Syd......and Klair Bear.

Spring Break...a little late

Okay Okay I'm the worst blogger ever. Whats your name? Can't find time to blog? lol only the chosen few can appreciate that joke:) we headed to Palm Springs for a few days and had a blast. Well, I guess that depends on who you ask. I had fun. Syd and Klair had fun. Grandpa spent 6 hours installing a ceiling fan....not so fun.

If your life is a mess, go make your bed!

Last year at work our school reached our fund raising goal. As a reward we won a "famous" guest speaker. Debra Dytric came and spoke to all the Future Professionals and staff. You probably have never heard of her, but her resume consists of doing make up for movies like the Matrix and Sweeny Todd. Her most current project is hair and makeup for Trama (NBC)

Anyway, she started her AMAZING presentation by asking for a raise of hands of people who had made their beds that morning. Thanks to my OCD Mom, my hand shot up! She then said " you can tell a lot about people by looking at how they keep their bedrooms. If your life is a mess, your room probably is to. So if your life is a mess, go make your bed!"

I don't know why, out of everything she said this stuck out to me. Sometimes life is crazy, sometimes it sucks and sometimes its hard. But lets be honest, who doesn't feel better when they know their bed is made at home.

A WEEK IN THE DESERT!!!

We are on our yearly trip to Palm Springs...The Desert as we like to call it. 7 days of NO WORK!!!!! YE HA!!! It's gorgeous here..72 and sunny!! Poor suckers back in Sacramento.....ha ha ha!!! We eat, sleep, eat, swim, eat, shop, and today we ventured to Knott's Berry Farm. We braved Disney last year, Big Mistake! It was so fun, those who haven't been there lately, go check it out. Super fun rides!!

Sydney made me swear I wouldn't post some pictures we took at the Crab Pot because we had bibs on...it was grub. So this picture of Klair with the cowboys is from Knott's. She thought they were pretty cool!!!

Happy New Year!!!

Ditto

I have just finished browsing my favorite blogs and there seemed to be a very distinct theme. Thankfulness. Seems like the state of our nation has caused much reflection, even to the youngins' (SAM:) ) anyway, I too am feeling the Thankfulness vibe, but am often hesitant to share. After reading my sisters blag, i apparently need to suck it up and just do it. -

I am thankful for a Heavenly Father to hears and ANSWERS my personal prayers. Even the silly ones said prior to Dr. appts and road trips. For 2 healthy kids, and for the 1 angel sent to us 9 years ago who wasn't. For nightly scripture reading and family prayer and the difference it makes the following day. For a husband who keeps his wedding vows to me and my kids. For the possibility of creating eternal vows in the future. For his ability to support my membership in the Church including tithing and serving in callings that take me outside the home. For my healthy body and the ability I have to work, even when I'm exhausted. For my parents to managed to stay married for 37 years. For the freedom living in this country affords all of us.

Finally, for my Savior and his example to me and my kids to follow. The knowledge I have, that we can all return to live with our Heavenly Father and family members again for time and all eternity.

Color Training Orlando

Most of my posts' are about my kids. But this is a personal victory for me :) The people in this picture are Icons' in the "Hair World" They are, Linda Yodice, Staphanie Kochoski, Jackie, and Lucy Doubty. My awesome boss at Paul Mitchell sent me to a specialty color training in ORLANDO! It really was a once in a life time experience. These people were amazing. The 2ND day they gave us a mini-hair show that was so cool! I feel so blessed to have had my husband, mother in law and kids totally support me in going, and believe it or not they really missed me!!!! YEA ME!!!
